Many of the educational establishments that we work with find that their logo has evolved over time.  Often the identity is inconsistent as different technolgies and processes have been used to reproduce it.  We can either identify its origin and recreate it in appropriate formats for today's technology, or we can  take heritage as inspiration and design a  fresh new identity for the future.

Prospectuses

We understand that your prospectus is not only an important tool for future students and their parents, but that it is also an asset to be used for recruiting the best staff, as a PR tool and for raising funding.

Websites

Your website needs to be an active reflection of what is going on.  If it is updated regularly it becomes a hub for students, staff and parents as well as many other third parties.  We build all sites using Open Source which means that the technology behind them is constantly being updated by developers around the world at no cost to you.  

We ensure that the interface is utterly simple for staff (and students if required) to update within minutes, so, for example, if a Saturday sports fixture is called off because of bad weather you can let everyone know before they leave home.  

We are very aware of the importance of security and ensure that careful measures are out in place to protect your site.

DVDs & New Media

Nothing helps to bring a school or college to life more than seeing and hearing the students and staff in situ.  We are used to working on site, putting everybody at ease so that they react naturally and spontaneously.  We can then supply the film in various formats so that you can achieve maximum value from your budget including:

compressed - streaming footage for your website

encoded for downloading to ipods and mobiles

looped for continual replay at events or in reception areas

packaged as individual DVDs for mailing.

Photography

 We are used to working on site with staff and students, encouraging them to relax so that images are spontaneous and natural.  Parents and students respond to images in different ways so we ensure that we capture shots that will appeal to each group.  We work with you to ensure that the photoshoot is carefully planned in advance so that we can achieve as much coverage as possible for your budget.

Copywriting

We understand that it can be tempting to fill every space in your brochure and website with more information.  Unfortunately the more you put in, the less people are likely to read.  We offer two levels of help

Editing - you supply the copy and we apply editorial devices to help pull the reader into it.  We will also give feedback if our experience shows that any information is missing or too lengthy and adapt it if required.  This service also includes subbing and proofing.

Copywriting - we sit down with you and decide what needs to be covered.  We then write the copy and apply editorial devices for your feedback and approval.

Signage & Wayfinding

Good signage is essential and a good wayfinding system will often use fewer signs but in the right places.  We will survey your site for you, supply our recommendations, design the signs (making the most of your identity) and then oversee manufacture and installation.
